Title I News

May 2019

Mrs. Dionne, Mrs. Kenny, Ms. Roers, and Mrs. Thatcher, CES’s Title I Staff, are excited to be providing supplemental services to our students.  I hope they share with their parents what we do each day.

Our Summer Learning Camp, formerly known as summer school, is in the planning process and there will be a parent meeting about it on Wednesday, May 8 from 5:30-6:30 in the CES Cafeteria for Title I parents in grades Kindergarten to Three.  The dates for Summer Learning Camp are Monday–Thursday, the weeks of July 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 8:00-11:30.

A Title I Parent/Guardian Survey will be sent home with the youngest child in your family soon.  I strongly urge you to fill this out and send it back to me so that we can hear your questions and concerns about the Title I program.

If you have any questions about any part of the Title I program, please call me at 237-4801, ext. 214.

Title I News

April 2019

It was nice to see many of you at the Curriculum Fair at CES on Thursday, March 14.  We hope you enjoyed seeing some of the materials and manipulatives that we use when we provide supplemental services to your children.

The North Country Title I Directors met in March and decided to not have our annual conference this year.  We plan to hold it in April 2020 again, so be on the lookout for information next year.

Title I is in the process of planning our Summer Learning Camp.  Last year we added an extra week to our camp, as suggested by our parent survey and we felt that this was a great decision.  Camp this year will be Monday-Thursday, 8:00-11:30, the weeks of July 8, 15, 22, and 29.  Bus transportation is included if you are interested, as well as field trips.  As always, if you are interested in your child attending, we understand vacation schedules and do not expect, although we would love to see, 100% attendance.  We will have an informational meeting in May, and notices will be sent home about this.

If you have any questions about any part of the Title I program, please call me at 237-4801, ext. 214.
